"Today was my first (of many, I know!) visits to Cafe Gilou. I brought home a cheese and mushroom galette, and some croissants and chocolate chip cookies. Every single bite was so delicious, and it was truly difficult not to eat everything at one sitting. This is REAL French food with ultra-fresh ingredients and I am SO happy that we have this charming, talented couple in town now. Even if you don’t have any other reason to go to the Professional building on 3rd Avenue West, I highly recommend that you make a special stop to experience this fantastic little place. And the parking is free. Thank you to Cafe Gilou for this superb taste of France!"

"This morning I got a croissant, a ham and cheese croissant sandwich, and two coffees to go and I was so impressed. My first time trying Café Gilou and I was actually in heaven eating that croissant over my kitchen sink like a wild animal. 100/10 I’m so happy to finally find good croissants in Owen Sound!"

"I think I've tried most of the galettes now, they're all so good! I've narrowed down my favourites to ham, cheese, onion, and egg OR brie and choice of jam. My son is loyal to the maple syrup galette, so there is definitely something for everyone. The pastries and soups are amazing, as well as the atmosphere and customer service. If you haven't been, GO!"
